Job Summary:
This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a tertiary care hospitals medical-surgical unit. The LPN will provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN manage their own patient assignments and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Every other weekend work is required.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care as assigned under the supervision of an RN.
- Manage own patient assignments.
- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out physician orders and perform therapeutic procedures.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Participate in every other weekend rotation.
- Charting using Epic.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current LPN license in New York.
- Minimum of 1 year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred (but not required).
- Current BLS certification.
- Hospital experience within the last 2 years.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Proficiency with vents trachs and PICC lines.
- 2 years of experience in direct patient care.
Special Considerations:
- This is a day shift position (3x12-hour shifts).
- Every other weekend work is required.
- Tertiary care hospital setting.
Scheduling:
- 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week.
- Every other weekend rotation.
