Job Description
Prophet 21 Business Analyst
Onsite Role in either Bloomington MN 5543 or Wood Dale IL.
Summary:
Were looking for a Business Analyst with hands-on Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) experience to support a fast-growing multi-location distribution company. This role will be responsible for identifying analyzing and implementing ERP-driven process improvements across departments including Purchasing Sales and Operations and providing strong daily user support. Experience with Wireless Warehouse for P21 is a significant plus. You must be self-driven collaborative and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) ensuring the ERP supports business needs across all departments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements particularly in the areas of Purchasing Sales Operations and Inventory Management.
- Provide day-to-day end-user support and training for over 200 users across 40 locations.
- Lead or participate in the configuration testing and deployment of ERP enhancements and integrations including Wireless Warehouse.
- Analyze current and future business processes identify gaps or inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve performance and scalability.
- Develop and execute test plans and user acceptance testing for ERP changes and upgrades.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications; work closely with developers and vendors as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation including SOPs functional workflows and training materials.
- Support reporting and analytics initiatives using tools like SQL and Power BI.
- Manage or support projects using established project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
Qualifications:
Required:
- 2 years of hands-on experience with Epicor Prophet 21 ERP.
- Experience supporting key business functions: Purchasing Sales Operations and Warehouse Management.
- Proven experience in a Business Analyst or ERP Analyst role with a distribution or multi-location business.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with IT teams stakeholders and end users.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including process documentation and workflow mapping.
- Ability to write SQL queries and create simple reports or dashboards.
Preferred:
- Experience with Wireless Warehouse for P21.
- 3 years of overall IT/business analyst experience.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting/analytics tools.
- Bachelors degree in IT Business or a related field.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
