Job Summary
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - School-based
Location: Federal Way WA 98003
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Contract Length: 09 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $1125 $1237; (Negotiable based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions designed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Provide direct services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Support students in developing fine motor skills sensory processing self-help skills and classroom participation.
- Document daily therapy notes progress reports and maintain student records in accordance with school and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with teachers staff and parents to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings when necessary and contribute to the goal-setting process.
- Travel between school sites (if required).
Requirements:
- Education: Associates Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Certification: Certified by NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Licensure: Current Washington State COTA license.
- Experience: School-based experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication organizational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
