Job Summary
The Emerging nanoscience Research Institute (EnRI) focuses its research on advanced materials computational modelling & simulation and development of small-scale testing and materials characterization. We are looking for a Research Fellow whose primary purpose is to support research and development in the chemical conversion of high-energy waste materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Support research and development in the chemical conversion and valorization of hazardous waste streams focusing on complex reactive materials.
Involves process design optimization and scale-up including reaction kinetics material characterization and risk assessment.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to advance waste-to-resource technologies ensuring regulatory compliance and safety while contributing to the broader goals of sustainable waste management.
Job Requirements:
PhD in Chemical Engineering Environmental Engineering Chemistry or a related field.
Proven experience in hazardous waste processing material recovery and chemical conversion.
Proficiency in analytical techniques (e.g. FTIR TGA DSC ICP-OES) for material characterization.
Excellent scientific writing and technical reporting skills with a track record of peer-reviewed publications.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience in data analysis.
Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
