Job Description
Temasek is hiring a Research Scientist or Associate for a project to study social science phenomena on social media using natural language processing. The Research Scientist or Associate will perform a variety of functions related to research. The candidate is expected to work closely with the project team to perform task assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to all technical related activities.
Contribute to project-specific technology scan and review reporting.
Contribute to research design data collection and statistical analyses.
Contribute to software development of project-related deliverables.
Contribute to writing of project progress and research reports.
Contribute to research publications and presentations.
Perform administrative work associated with project
Job Requirements:
PhD or masters degree in computer science Computer Engineering Computational Social Science or its equivalent.
Bachelors degree holders need to have at least three years of experience working in Computational Social Science Deep Learning Machine Learning Large Language Models and/or Natural Language Processing.
Possesses good knowledge in MS office Python statistical analysis using R or Jamovi.
Good writing skills for writing proposals reports and publications in good academic journals
