Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication proton-conducting SOFCs.
Synthesize and characterize materials for SOFC applications.
Collaborate with external partners on ammonia-fueled SOFC research and development.
Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in managing research projects.
Oversee daily laboratory operations including experiments and safety protocols.
Supervise and mentor researchers and students ensuring adherence to best practices.
Coordinate with vendors and technicians to meet the laboratorys technical needs.
Prepare interim reports presentations and documentation for ongoing research projects.
Job Requirements:
Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g. solid oxide fuel cells defect chemistry high temperature catalysis).
At least 3 years of experience in proton-conducting SOFCs.
Proficiency in the fabrication and characterization of SOFCs including TEM analysis.
Strong expertise in defect chemistry and solid-state Ionics.
Experience with materials characterization tools such as SEM TEM XRD XPS and FIB.
Familiarity with hydrogen carrier fuels particularly ammonia and related decomposition processes.
Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken for research purposes.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated experience in project management and laboratory operations.
Proven ability to supervise and mentor researchers and students.
