Were looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our crew based out of our East Tamaki Yard Auckland.
The project scope covers work through minor road and safety improvements intersections town centre safety upgrades busways bus stops pedestrian ways improved crossing points and more.
You will be hands on in operating civil plant machinery such as Excavators and Rollers performing operating duties and general hand duties when/as required across Auckland.
In addition to the above you will:
- Operate civil construction machinery such as excavators and rollers safely and competently
- Perform skilled operating duties to dig trenches foundations and holes and move earth and materials as per project specifications
- Carry out daily pre-start and post-operation checks reporting defects promptly
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Support the crew with manual tasks site setup and pack down as required
Were looking for someone with:
- Hold a NZ Class 2 Drivers Licence
- Hold a WTR Endorsement
- Have 3 years continuous experience operating heavy plant in a civil construction sector
- Able to competently operate an Excavator Roller and Class 2 Truck is ideal
- Able to work both day and night shifts weekends as required
- Able to conduct manual general labourer when/as required
- Experience in concrete is advantageous
