The role:

Joining PowerNet as an Improvement Project Manager is your opportunity to work on critical improvement projects which are internal to the best practice project management to your assigned projects and supporting the wider programme of work by coaching less experienced Project Managers as needed your role enables the successful implementation of meaningful change within PowerNet.

Based in our office in Invercargill we are looking for two experienced Improvement Project Managers to join and grow our Quality & Improvement roles will create essential capacity and increase PowerNets expertise in the skills and professional disciplines of Project Management making them available to all areas of the business.

As an Improvement Project Manager you will be given the opportunity to develop both your Project Management and Programme Management teamwork skills as you make a valuable contribution in a range of areas including:

  • Utilising and championing the improvement project framework
  • Ensuring the effective delivery of projects from planning through to implementation & closure
  • Driving projects forward to ensure deliverables are on time on budget and at an appropriate level of quality
  • Providing regular and accurate monitoring & impact analysis reporting
  • Coaching & mentoring others in the use of the project framework

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

  • PMP and CAPM Prince2 or other relevant tertiary business qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years experience implementing project management methodologies
  • A genuine interest in supporting and educating others in the skillset of project management
  • Positive and pro-active approach toward teamwork
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication
  • Evidence of delivering multiple IT and/or multi-disciplinary projects an advantage
