Job Title: DevOps Architect

About the Role
Trimble Cloud xOps is a shared services organization for Trimble divisions using the public cloud to deliver technology services to Construction Agriculture Buildings Transportation and Natural Resources markets. We offer public cloud access and billing common infrastructure and security services consulting and application operations and a suite of DevOps tools hosted for the enterprise. As public cloud usage at Trimble is growing Trimble Cloud xOps is looking to expand the team and breadth of our service offerings.
We are recruiting for an experienced DevOps Architect with 8 years in AWS and Azure emphasizing security observability and DevOps best practices. Requires deep technical skills for cloud infrastructure design and automation. The focus is on hands-on technical contributions to architect and optimize application integration deployment security observability and performance.
What You Will Do
Establish and enforce security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Implement and manage observability solutions for system performance monitoring and high availability.
Experienced in managing the full disaster recovery lifecycle including design implementation testing and business continuity plan maintenance.
Develop AI-powered cloud-based solutions.
Manage SSL certificate including automated renewals monitoring and troubleshooting.
Design deploy and manage scalable secure and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to drive automation and optimize processes.
Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation) for consistent and scalable infrastructure provisioning and management.
Integrate security best practices into DevOps processes ensuring data protection vulnerability management and compliance.
Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across the infrastructure stack collaborating with relevant teams.
Continuously learn about emerging DevOps technologies and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship in DevOps and cloud security.
Stay informed about emerging industry trends and technologies to enhance DevOps practices.
Responsible for designing creating and delivering architectural diagrams for cloud infrastructure.
What Skills & Experience You Should Have
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
8 years of experience in DevOps or Cybersecurity demonstrating a strong track record of technical accomplishment
Technical Skills
Proficiency in IaC tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation Bicep).
Deep understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure).
Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitHub).
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python) and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet Chef).
Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK stack).
Solid understanding of DevOps and Cybersecurity principles and methodologies.
