EDS Design and Release Engineer LV and HV

The EDS D&R is also responsible for design improvements that lead to quality increase cost and weight optimization

• Design wiring harnesses complying with program cost weight quality performance and timing targets
• Lead 3D wire routing and package CAD layout activity
• Interface with Systems Engineering on logical and physical schematic development
• Definition and support of wire size/type selectionbased on Requirements and Design Rules
• Utilize best design efficiencies for manufacturing assembly and failure mode avoidance practices
• Issue resolution in Digital and Build Phases of Product Development.
• Create and maintain program specific foundation documents (Boundary Diagrams Quality History P-diagram DFMEA etc.)
• Lead manufacturing print development with Full Service Supplier Partner sign-off and release
• Create and maintain harness family complexity
• Drive commonality of designs across multiple programs and platforms
• Develop and maintain installation illustrations
• Release parts in FEDEBOM and WERS through the product life cycle. Support the Change Control Meeting.
• Complete Technical Design Reviews (TDRs) with Technical Specialists
• Manage component and harness APQP with STA Partners and on time part delivery
• Review pre-production vehicles for potential campaign items and assess warranty impact
• Participate in vehicle builds and lead resolution of issues (AIMS)
• Lead resolution of warranty (AWS) issues with PVT and Supplier
• Lead EDS cost analysis/estimates and support reviews
• Define harness to harness in-line connector pinouts and terminal sizing
• Lead electrical EDS compatibility reviews and sign-off wire harness prints
• Lead signoff of EDS Design requirements and Design rule checks
• Manage logical design data via Catia 3DX and Team Center Engineering

• BS in Engineering discipline(electrical desirable)
• Strong English Proficiency (written read and oral).
• Design Capable in 3D via Catia V5 or 3DX
• Microsoft Office Usage (Excel Word PowerPoint and Visio).
• Ability to travel to suppliers or assembly facilities to support APQP and build events
• LV and HV Wiring Experience
• Minimum 5 Wiring or electrical years of experience
• Functional knowledge of vehicle electrical system or functional knowledge of vehicle wiring system.
• Working knowledge of vehicle development process (GPDS) change control process (WERS) and vehicle launch experience
