You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Firms Data and Information Governance Framework (DIGF) sets forth the governance structure responsible for the oversight and management of Data and Information Related Risks. Data Quality (DQ) is one of the four risk pillars and is focused on mitigation of risk caused by the creation acquisition sourcing or usage of data and information that is incomplete inaccurate or untimely may lead to errors in reporting disruption to business and / or additional negative outcomes that may impact the Firm. The data quality risk management lifecycle has four main parts:
1) Identification of systematic and comprehensive DQ related Risk inventory
2) Effective DQ related risk assessment which determines prioritization for remediation.
3) Ongoing remediation of DQ related risks
4) Ongoing 1st/2nd line systematic reporting and consistent validation
The Technology Divisional Data Office (Tech DDO) function sits within the Technology organization and reports into the Technology Data Quality Governance Committee (TDGC). Tech DDOs mission is to ensure the highest level of data quality for support of critical business processes that use and produce data for Technology (Tech for Tech) Enterprise Fraud and Firm Resilience functions.
Responsibilities
The DQ Risk Governance Manager will support the implementation of the Global Data Quality Policy for Tech for Tech Enterprise Fraud and Firm Resilience data. This includes the day-to-day execution of the Technology Data Quality Risk Reduction Roadmap i.e. the identification of key areas of DQ risk and associated use cases and the determination of data quality control requirements across systems. This work will require a good understanding of the technology applications ecosystem end-to-end data flow analysis assessment of data quality controls identification of business data ownership cataloging of this metadata into the Firmwide Data Catalog (Collibra) and managing the annual re-attestation of data and control ownership among technology and business partners. As this role is based in Asia there will be a particular focus on local regulations which impact Technology Data.
Additional responsibilities will include providing succinct and timely updates for various forums including the Technology and Firmwide Data Quality Governance Committees. This is fast paced role that requires a quick grasp of key concepts as you connect with various stakeholders in the Technology organization to enable data quality governance. This role requires building relationships with Technology SMEs key members of the Firmwide Data Office other business unit aligned DDOs and supporting business units such as Operational Risk Department and Internal Audit.

> Comfortable working at low levels of detail examining data and trends in values to understand variations and seek the root causes to legitimize the trend or classify it as a data quality governance issue.
Preferred Qualifications:
> Knowledge of and experience with Asia regulations related to data (including Hong Kong Japan China Singapore Australia India etc.).
> Bachelors degree in Computer Science Management Information Systems Information Technology or related field
> 8 years of experience in financial services technology and/or data quality governance
> Experience with data cataloguing tools such as Collibra
> Knowledge of technology/information technology assets policies and controls
> Excel experience with the ability to write ad-hoc queries and use of Excel functions (pivots macros) to perform data analysis
> SQL experience
> Strong written and verbal communication skills interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively or influence Business Users other IT groups and team members
> Strong proficiency in creating succinct PowerPoint materials to present key information points
> Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities with minimal supervision.
