An exciting opportunity has arisen at E-ppl for a skilled and experienced Fabrication Workshop Technician to provide specialist support to one of our premium customers. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the production of metal parts and structures including accurately cutting shaping and joining metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. The role involves setting operating and programming manual and CNC milling machines lathes grinders guillotines and presses. You will produce and modify components from various ferrous and non-ferrous materials for departments like Engine Build Electronic Drive Unit Build and on-site Test Facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure precise part creation.
Preparing raw materials such as steel aluminium and stainless steel by measuring and cutting.
Setting operating and programming 3-axis CNC machinery.
Utilizing manual turning and milling techniques.
Performing various welding methods (e.g. MIG TIG stick welding) and other joining techniques like riveting or bolting.
Operating a variety of workshop equipment including press brakes shears drills and grinders.
Performing self-inspection and quality control on finished products using precision measuring tools like callipers and micrometers.
Maintaining a safe and clean workstation and performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
