Job description
We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer who can join our IoT/energy sector project immediately. Capable of designing and implementing an automation strategy for both a mobile front-end (with hardware integrations including smart electricity meters real-time data dongles and EV) and extensive APIs.
As a Test Automation Engineer at iO you work closely with the client product owner and software developers in a Scrum team with bi-weekly sprints. You are responsible for ensuring the quality where you test everything: from the happy flow to worst-case scenarios and that on all possible devices.
You are capable of working independently contribute to the test strategy and play a key role in ensuring the overall quality of our software.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in:
Automated testing of APIs
Versioned testing integrated in development workflow
External parties integrations (regression testing) and reporting
Mobile app testing
Visual interface in web technologies
Native shell for hardware functionality
Performance monitoring and observability
Creating and maintaining Dynatrace dashboards for test monitoring and performance insights
Hardware integrations testing is an asset
Job requirements
API testing using Postman or Bruno(including test scripts collection and reporting workflows)
Web automation testingwith at least one of the following tools:
Selenium(with Java Python or C#)
Cypress(JavaScript/TypeScript)
Playwright(JavaScript/TypeScript)
Mobile testingwith Espresso or Appium(Android and/or iOS)
Experience in setting up and maintaining automation frameworks
Solid knowledge of at least one programming language such as:
C#
Javascript/TypeScript
Python
Familiar with Gitfor version control
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
Able to contribute immediately within an existing project setup
Capable of designing documenting and executing an automation strategy
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on test coverage and risk-based testing
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
Experience with Dynatrace for application performance monitoring and dashboard creation
Familiarity with Dockerand/or cloud-based testing platforms(e.g. BrowserStack)
ISTQB or TMAP certification is an asset
Your Dutch and English are good. Knowledge of French is an asset.
