Job Duties
Virginia Tax is seeking a Correspondence Processor for the Office of Tax Processing Operations to process incoming agency correspondence such as business registration forms returned mail returned income tax checks and electronic filing waiver requests.
The Office of Tax Processing Operations is a high volume challenging and dynamic work this role you will help process correspondence the agency receives which on average equates to 128000 pieces of returned mail 28000 registration items 17000 returned income checks and 10000 waiver requests annually.
Anticipated hiring range is commensurate with experience up to $37582.
This job is performed full time onsite at the Virginia Tax Westmoreland Street facility.
The schedule for this position would be on site Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience in a high-volume production environment that requires fast turnaround
Experience using a PC to navigate to and between multiple application systems
Experience using decision-making skills and make sound judgement to identify and select the appropriate action.
Experience following oral and written procedures and instructions
Experience working independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to organize work and adjust priorities as necessary
Additional Considerations
Ability to conduct research and analysis
Experience with tax or financial related software such as Advantage Revenue or other related systems
