Overview
Patent Care Technician-Powell 3 Adult Oncology- Methodist Hospital
Shifts: Nights; Full-Time
Each shift requires every 4th weekend and holiday rotation
Benefits Eligible
Shift Differential for qualifying shifts
$3000 Sign On Bonus for qualifying candidates
Under the supervision of an RN provides direct patient care. Performs procedures for patients and provides technical services and support. Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to the delivery of services improved patient care and a high level of satisfaction from patients and families.
Provides care to patients who may be receiving hazardous medications.

Responsibilities
- PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including but not limited to activities of daily living mobility specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
- Possess the ability to lift move position and transport patients.
- Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
- Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care patient and employee safety and customer service.
- Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment.
Qualifications
License(s)/Certification(s):
- CNA certification preferred
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
Other:
- Must be 16 years old or older
- Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
