- Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Florida in good academic standing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing social media platforms.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
UF Advancements Strategic Communications Marketing & Engagement (SCME) team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to support the UF Alumni social media channels. The Student Assistant will both contribute to and learn from managing organic and paid social media efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the scheduling and posting of content across Facebook Instagram LinkedIn and X under the direction of the Assistant Director of Marketing & Social Media.
- Contribute content ideas that resonate with UF alumni future alumni and the Gator Nation while assisting with daily account management through re-posting sharing and engaging with Gator Clubs and other affiliated accounts.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries on Facebook including membership-related questions and benefits.
- Assist in reviewing analytics to identify themes trends and opportunities for strategy refinement.
- Provide on-site assistance during social media shoots which may include filming recording and coordinating participants.
- Must be available to work on select Saturdays for Gator Nation Tailgates
- Support social listening to surface trending topics and creative content opportunities.
- Help identify and share campus stories and initiatives that connect with the alumni audience.
$15.00 /hr
- Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Florida in good academic standing.
- Coursework or interest in marketing and communications.
- Experience with a DSLR camera.
- Experience with podcasting.
