Join our high-performing Electrical Safety Team which is renowned in the power industry for its earthing system design and testing capabilities and longstanding reputation for excellence.
In this role youll enjoy a wide variety of work including opportunities to travel across New Zealand and Australia to scope plan and carry out earthing system testing for major utility clients
Youll also get hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology developed through our in-house R&D team helping to shape the future of earthing test data acquisition and analysis.

What will you be responsible for
As the Earthing Test Engineer and Coordinator you will play an integral role in ensuring the safety of the wider electrical industry.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Quoting and project management of earth system testing projects.
- Testing of earthing systems to collect analyse and interpret data to assess the effectiveness of the scheme.
- Completing earthing and lightning protection reviews and design utilising specialist software packages (e.g. CDEGS).
- Rewriting or modifying processes to refine and improve performance and ensure that all aspects of the testing run smoothly.
- Technical writing and authoring of comprehensive and high-quality written reports and presentations for both internal and customer consumption.
What are we looking for
You will have a high regard for safety a basic understanding in power system earthing and site experience working within substations. You will need four years minimum relevant experience and will have:
- A positive and professional communicator with exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- A high degree of technical experience and competence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to travel away from home sometimes for up to three weeks at a time.
- Self-motivation organisation and a strong work ethic.
