SPX flow at Assen Netherlands is looking for Pumps Testing Technician

SPX Flow Technology Assen BV develops and manufactures custom-made centrifugal pumps for applications in industry oil & gas extraction greenhouse horticulture and utility among others. About 85 employees work in Assen divided between production and office. This branch has been around for over 75 years.

Testbed Engineer shall ensure the performance of tests and inspection of pumps for customer orders development orders and customer problems.

About your responsibilities at SPX Flow:

• Testing pumps (for specific applications)
• Processing test data in Hi-probe and possibly Excel
• Performing noise and vibration measurements
• Analyzing test results
• Analyzes problems with pumps and/or installations (at customers)
• Assembles and disassembles pumps for testing
• Must be able to explain specific test stand matters to for example customers
• Practical Training of Customers and (new) SPX Flow colleagues about the operation of pumps and tests to be carried out
• Supervising FATs (factory Acceptance Tests) on the test stand
• If necessary carry out measurements on location
• Helping to assemble pumps when assembly is busy

About you

• Knowledge of operation and behavior of Centrifugal pumps
• Prescribed standards and procedures for testing and their implementation
• Drawing reading
• Read pump assembly manuals (Technical Sales Manuals)
• Knowledge of pumps tools measuring and the method of assembly
• Control measurements
• To be able to solve immediate problems of an order
• Must be able to record measurement results in a report in a clear manner
• Must be able to communicate in a clear way
• A good command of the Dutch and English language
• MBO technical training

• Manual dexterity Is required for handling the tools and measuring equipment required for the set-up and testing of pumps
• Expression skills required for discussing the work to be performed with the manager.
