Job Description
Our clientis a large technology corporation established by the Hong Kong Government they are currently seeking anAssistant Manager IT Systemsto join their team.
Assistant Manager IT Systems (5 days work)
Responsibilities:
- Manage IT infrastructure projects likeIT systems servers storage backup cloud performance monitoringetc.
- Manage cloud resource on Azure AWS
- Take the lead in project activities like requirement collection site preparation monitoring progress UAT deployment transition to ongoing support etc.
- Plan for project transition to ongoing support (BAU) and assist in managing existing IT systems or managed service provider
- Evaluate IT solution proposals and maintenance contracts from vendors
- Preparation of RFP and RFQ documents
- Provide second level technical support and ad-hoc technical assignments during non-office hours maybe required
- Manage external vendors suppliers and contractors to ensure quality deliverables
- Build and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholder
Requirements:
- Degree or above in Computer Science or Information Systems Engineering.
- 5 8 years of relevant working experience in IT infrastructure projects and preferably ongoing support of which 2-3 years in Project Management or Technical Leader roles
- Experience in VMware NSX-T MS Servers AD Group Policies ManageEngine Veeam Cisco UCM Azure and Office 365 and cloud admin preferable
- Experienced in coordinating with multiple vendors and user parties in project environments
- Understanding of prevailing technology in cabling networking virtual servers storage security monitoring and cloud technologies
- Familiar with best practices in cloud operation information security and strong experience in vendor managementPMP and ITIL certifications would be an advantage
- Excellent people management interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills in both English and Chinese including Cantonese and Putonghua
