Founded in 1992Christian Alliance P.C. Lau International School (CAPCL)was the first international school set up by TheKowloon Tong Church of the Chinese Christian and Missionary Alliance in Hong Kong.
The school strives to cultivate a Christ-centered learners focused and others-oriented community in which learning and teaching are relational rigorous and relevant.
In 2017 the schools Kowloon City campus closed down for a large scale renovation. Slated to re-open in August 2020 the enhanced campus will focus on early childhood and primary education and it is set to carry on the proud Christian ethos that distinguishes the school.

Preparatory / Primary (Homeroom) Teacher
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparatory / Primary (Homeroom) teachers will provide instruction in three core subjects at a single grade level including English Social Studies and Science as well as four of the five specialty subjects such as Art Bible Health Music and Physical Education. Preparatory / Primary (Homeroom) teachers are expected to work collaboratively with colleagues in grade level teams.
Qualifications and Experience
Education and Training
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Education or Bachelor degree in the relevant subject areas with PGDE (Postgraduate Diploma of Education) or equivalent from an accredited universitypreferably with Canadian education background
- Minimum 10 weeks of a supervised student teaching placement completed at a recognized post-secondary institution
- Evidence of valid certification as issued by the certificating authority in both the jurisdiction where the teacher was trained and the jurisdiction where the teacher last taught
- Early childhood education / primary (homeroom) teacher training strongly preferred
Experience
- Prior experience in teaching students in a kindergarten and primaryschool preferred
English Language Competency
- Native proficiency in spoken and written English required
Effective Date of Employment
The starting date for this appointment is15 August 2025 . Initial contracts are normally 2 years in duration.
