The role:
As a Business Development (BD) Manager within our M&A-focused practice you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies that drive client relationship growth and profitable revenue. Youll work closely with the Firms Clients and Sectors teams to ensure alignment with broader strategic goals leveraging product insights and data-led intelligence to identify opportunities foster cross-selling and strengthen stakeholder relationships. This role sits within our global Business Development & Marketing (BDM) functiona collaborative and collegiate team dedicated to driving growth and enhancing the firms reputation.
Your key responsibilities:
Drive growth across the M&A space by developing and implementing BD plans aligned with global objectives and Firm strategy.
Build strong networks across BD teams and the BDM function to support strategic connectivity and cross-selling.
Develop and execute client growth plans and M&A-led go-to-market campaigns targeting priority sectors and markets.
Provide strategic input into win strategies pitch and panel submissions focused on M&A.
Use data-led insights and market intelligence for opportunity spotting horizon scanning and pipeline management.
Gather and analyse client feedback and external trends to inform BD strategies and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Leverage global tools technology and shared services to deliver targeted M&A-oriented insights and ensure process alignment.
What were looking for:
Proven experience in business development within legal services ideally in Corporate/M&A with a strong track record of identifying and driving growth opportunities.
Ability to develop and implement BD strategies aligned with organisational goals and provide strategic input into pitches and panel submissions.
Strong collaboration skills across global teams and sectors with experience leveraging global tools and resources to enhance BD effectiveness.
Advanced analytical skills including the use of data insights market intelligence and technology to inform BD activities and generate actionable opportunities.
A degree in marketing business or a related field; advanced leadership or marketing qualifications are desirable.
