Role Summary:
The DCI Repair Technician is responsible for the dismantle clean and inspect processes of all pumps (repair or upgrade) and decoking this role the DCI Repair Technician will utilize precision inspection equipment to measure dimensions of components and assemblies. The DCI Repair Technician will also repair and assemble equipment meeting quality standards company policies and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities:
Follow instructions given in pre-job briefings and complete all checklists routers and procedures.
Clean each part to be reused and documenting the condition of components.
Use hand torches and liquid nitrogen when appropriate in the teardown process.
Disassemble products to repair or replace defective materials or worn parts and make other repairs as necessary.
Inspect components and assemblies accurately and precisely and clearly record the results of these inspections.
Remove visible dirt grit oil grease and other foreign matter from pump product parts prior to assembly.
Frequently apply primer and finish coatings to the exterior of pump products and parts using spray equipment.
Operate various precision measuring tools.
Take pictures to document condition and process.
Participate and adhere to the implementation and use of appropriate reporting and operating systems manufacturing and quality processes.
Participate and report quality related problems. Report deviations ensure creation of Non-Conformity Reports and execute corrective actions identified.
Communicate clearly and professionally with production planners and customers to discuss the component and pump conditions
Coordinate and interface with sales operations engineers and customers as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Mechanical or Industrial Technician and/or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Computer skills (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
Must be available to work overtime including weekends and holidays.
