ABOUT WILLIAMS LAKE FIRST NATION (WLFN)
The Williams Lake First Nation (WLFN) or the Texelcemc (people of WLFN) have belonged to the Secwepemc (or Shuswap) Nation for over 6500 years. Today the WLFN community includes a growing population of over 800 registered members who live on reserve in Sugar Cane in nearby Williams Lake BC and across the globe.

POSITION
As part of the Health and Wellness Department the Community Wellness Facilitator / NNADAP Worker plays a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of First Nations community members by providing culturally appropriate substance abuse prevention support and referral services. This position is focused on reducing the impact of substance use disorders through community education early intervention and individual support. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other service providers to deliver holistic and culturally sensitive care using a strength-based trauma-informed approach. The Community Wellness Facilitator / NNADAP Worker will collaborate with other WLFN staff and programs community resources and support as identified.
The Community Wellness Facilitator will provide one-on-one support to clients including completion of treatment referrals crisis support follow up transportation accompaniment to appointments and facilitating wellness initiatives in the community. Further support for problem solving and skill development will be provided in an array of areas such as housing services referrals and guidance. Community Wellness Facilitator NNADAP will report to the Interim Director of Health and Wellness.
