Job Description

Job Summary:

This role manages and supports automation processes within high-performance automotive production cells focusing on machine integration system efficiency and operator training. It requires hands-on engineering expertise in a fabrication environment with strong technical and communication skills.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proven history of Engineering background (mechanical / electrical).
  • Proven history of successful machine integration and automation.
  • Fluent in AutoCAD & SolidWorks.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Prior knowledge of extrusion department desired.

Job Responsibilities

  • Fluent in MS Office (Word / Excel / Point) Power.
  • Develops/trains maintenance trainee on equipment operations process and systems to the extent that the trainee can self-operate.
  • Knowledge of department targets and goals such as PPH recovery uptime etc. and understanding of how each are driven.
  • Must be able to work in hot environment and wear PPE as required by site regulations
  • Comfortable navigating an HMI / PLC.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to area operators leadership and support teams
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended period as to perform required work duties.
