Job Description

Masters degree in Nursing Health Administration or related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Position Overview:
- Pay range: $104045.00 - $169075.00 / year
- Shifts: full-time days
- Schedules: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Job Description:
To provide oversight direction and management for a transplant program or outpatient clinic administration and operations. To develop clinical protocols in collaboration with physician staff; ensure operations of the transplant program and outpatient clinic meet regulatory compliance standards; draft policies and procedures and develop the annual operating and capital budgeting process. To provide oversight for the completion of insurance RFIs and coordination of insurance site visits for a transplant program or outpatient clinic. To develop and implement systems that support efficient patient centered care and administration of human resource policies including supervision of staff performance review assignment and scheduling of clinic staff transplant coordinators nurse practitioners transplant social workers and support staff.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for ongoing management administration and supervision of a transplant department. Participates in budget planning implementation and oversight.
2. Participates in periodic reviews and updates and develops protocols policies procedures and education manuals.
3. Acts as liaison with all medical surgical and other subspecialties involved with the care of transplant patients.
4. Conducts new hire orientation and serves as a preceptor; responsible for personnel evaluations and handling of personnel issues.
5. Oversees the coordination of care through all phases of transplantation and living kidney donation.
6. Maintains ongoing and current knowledge base concerning transplant-related issues and advancements; conducts unit meetings to discuss unit goals; stays abreast of UNOS Bylaws and informs staff of any changes.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
