Chief Operating Officers (COO) Office
The COOs Office supports our COO to streamline operations and align them with strategic goals. You will work with the COO Heads of Departments and stakeholders across GIC to achieve operational excellence.

Cyber Security & Resilience

You will be a part of an independent risk management function to protect the firms information technology assets including business data from external threats and operational risks and to facilitate the firms digitalisation journey in a secure manner.

What will you do as an VP Security Platform Support

  • Provide technical support for cybersecurity platforms managed by CSR encompassing a wide range of devices and systems related to host security network security data protection identity and access management cloud security application security and security operations.
  • Continuously monitor the availability of cybersecurity platforms and promptly address any service outages to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Monitor for vulnerabilities assess the impact of patches and deploy patches to maintain the security and integrity of cybersecurity platforms.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to cybersecurity platforms coordinate with vendors and manage escalations as necessary to resolve complex problems.
  • Manage cybersecurity platforms related incident and problem management tickets analyze root causes and propose enhancements to improve the overall security posture.
  • Identify and recommend improvements for the support and maintenance of existing cybersecurity platforms including standard operating procedure documentation creation/review automation of manual repeatable tasks where technically feasible.
  • Engage in evaluations proof-of-value/proof-of-concept activities design build and implementation of enterprise-class cybersecurity systems.
  • Serve as a domain expert and trusted partner within CSR collaborating closely with stakeholders in the Technology Group and Business Groups on matters related to cybersecurity platform support.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role

  • Bachelors Degree in in Information Technology Computer Engineering or a related field. At least 7 years of relevant experience preferably in the financial services or asset management industries with a minimum of 5 years in Cyber Security or Information Security.
  • Prior team management experience
  • Hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining cybersecurity platforms including troubleshooting techniques and the use of diagnostic tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems networking concepts and protocols and principles of access rights and permissions.
  • Must be meticulous versatile and inquisitive with strong attention to detail.
  • Possess an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Be a good team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Scripting and coding skills with proficiency in Python or similar programming languages will be advantageous.
  • Professional qualification in information security such as CISSP will be advantageous
