The University of WisconsinPlatteville is seeking a Manager of Internal Operations to join our Athletics and Recreation department in supporting the success of 16 NCAA Division III intercollegiate sport programs. This is a 12-month benefit-eligible position with a salary of $50000 per year.
This role manages budgets and forecasting provides guidance to Athletic Leadership and researches new equipment purchases. The Manager ensures fiscal integrity supports personnel oversees administrative functions and serves on the senior administration support team.
Key duties include administering financial components of athletic programs managing administrative staff and serving as a liaison with campus offices such as Accounts Payable Budget Foundation Grants Accounting HR Payroll and Purchasing. The Manager will also assist with game day operations.
Implements and executes established policies and procedures for a designated work unit to adhere to unit objectives and to align with established strategies.
Schedules logistics and secures resources for a designated work unit to contribute to the day-to-day operational success.
Analyzes data and trends compiles progress reports and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions in support of the assigned operational work unit(s).
Assists recommends and advises staff on unit or program administrative issues personnel matters and budgetary problems.
Serves on committees and attends meetings representing the interests of the unit or program.
Responsible for a variety of professional level work across a variety of administrative service areas including budget finance procurement and human resources with impact across the institution in support of unit or institutional goals.
Will assist in game day operations and related administrative tasks.
Performs other related duties as assigned to support the units mission and operational needs.
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
24 years of progressively responsible experience working with budgets.
Demonstrated experience with budget development forecasting and financial reporting.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other common office applications.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for game day operations.
