We encourage applications from women people of color people with disabilities veterans and other candidates from underrepresented backgrounds and with diverse experiences interested in this opportunity.About the PositionReporting to the AVP of Advancement Services Fiscal Specialist 1 is responsible for all duties relating to gift and pledge management including the Foundation daily deposit gift coding gift entry and reconciliation and gift acknowledgement; as well as pledge entry pledge reconciliation and pledge reminder generation. A working knowledge of IRS regulations and Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) standards is necessary to ensure that gifts are deposited in accordance with donor wishes appropriate regulations and foundation policies. Additionally this position oversees record maintenance maintaining the Advancement database to ensure the integrity of all alumni parent donor and constituent records. Upholding the highest level of accuracy these positions extract information from other systems to gather information for entry into University Advancement Computer System. This position may support the oversight and supervision of database student employees.Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelors degree AND one year of experience in a related field; or three years of responsible supervisory and/or administrative experience in a related field or equivalent education/experience
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of applications including Word Excel Outlook and Access with demonstrated ability to import files into Excel and format output and to prepare mail merges.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and high-level of accuracy of work performed.
  • Ability to learn and implement intricate procedures and compliance standards.
  • Experience with databases and performing data retrieval and quality control.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CRM Advance.
  • Knowledge of research web sites including LexisNexis.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit preferably higher education setting.
  • Working knowledge of IRS regulations and CASE guidelines pertaining to contributions.
