Job Title: Senior Consultant Marine Industry Presales
Location: Beijing or Shanghai China
Employment type: Regular full time hybrid work arrangement
The job
The Presales Consultants primary responsibility is to provide technical leadership to sales account manager during whole sales cycles. The activities include not limited to: developing opportunity working with sales & marketing attending internal/external meetings and provide ideas opinions to achieve the meeting goals providing technical presentation and demos providing architecture or technical write-ups for proposal work providing product or solution training to internal team and external customer.
In addition the role will also take responsibility to collect customers feedback on product development needs and communicate with R&D team for an improvement plan.
Main responsibilities
- Enable sales growth mainly in Engineering product portfolio through the AVEVA by driving revenue by qualifying leads in Marine related OPPs
- Communicating the value proposition of our solutions to prospects or partners at presentations industry events and seminars
- Contributing to the planning creation development and delivery of demonstrations that prove the value of our solutions
- Engaging prospects to understand their specific needs and problems and contributing to the development of appropriate technical solutions
- Understand the AVEVA Engineering product portfolio and how to position it
- Support proof of concepts and/or pilots
- Contribute to the definition of standardization
- Obtain and maintain the customers confidence and respect as the technical solution expert
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or above in related major
- Typically at least 5-8 years of experience with Marine Industry experience in engineering projects and AVEVA Engineering products and 2-5 years of experience in Technical Sales Presales or Business Development
- Significant practical experience of the implementation of AVEVA solutions with customers
- The ability to effectively self-manage and handle multiple potentially competing commitments at the same time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work alone or with development staff to hands-on develop and present demo applications
Preferred Skills & Collaboration
- Prospects: Develop good working relationships with clients and always provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism
- Sales: Work with the Sales team in identifying opportunities providing support at all levels of engagement and ensuring throughout those proposed solutions are feasible and in line with AVEVAs strategic objectives
- Technical: Work within a dynamic team and show flexibility in the use and development of personal and technical skills to maximize the teams efficiency
- Extensive experience providing IT infrastructure support to large user groups that require high-performance connectivity and availability
- Fluent English skills to communicating with global team in both oral and writing
- Ability to coach and mentor junior employees
