SCHOOL OF CHINESE MEDICINE

TEACHING ANDRESEARCH DIVISION

The School of Chinese Medicine was established in 1999 and offers comprehensive education programmes in Chinese medicine including both undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine. The School is engaged in a wide range of research projects provides Chinese medicine healthcare services to the community and seeks to foster modernisation of the Chinese medicine consolidate the strengths of innovative research the School has established eight high quality theme-based Research Centres equipped with advanced equipment and facilities. The highlighted strategic research areas in the School include (1) Precision medicine and phenomics study; (2) Translational medicine and innovative drug discovery; and (3) Authentication and testing of Chinese medicines.

Assistant Professor / Associate Professor()

The School of Chinese Medicine now invites applications for faculty position at the Assistant Professor / Associate Professor level. Applicants should possess a PhD inChinese Medicineor related disciplines. Excellent interpersonal communication and scientific writing skills are required. Preference will be given to candidates with appealing external grant record outstanding publication and leading potential of innovative therapeutic intervention inbothChinese and WesternMedicine and Biomedical Science. The appointee is also expected to teach basic theory and diagnostics of Chinese and Western Medicine at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; establish a vigorous research programme in the areas of interest; and develop research cluster by collaborations within and outside the School.

This is a tenure-track position withan initial appointment on a fixed-term contract of up to three years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Tenured appointment is expected to be attained within six years.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
