Key responsibilities: This role will assist the Country Compliance Manager in driving the regulatory compliance functions for various financial businesses in Thailand (including payment lending and insurance).

Regulatory Compliance Advisory

  • Provide regulatory compliance advice related to laws and regulations such as BOT AML and OIC.
  • Support the licensing process and ensure required financial permits and approvals are obtained.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies manuals and legal documentation systems to align with regulatory requirements.

Monitoring Controls and Governance

  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop remediation plans to address regulatory gaps.
  • Support both internal and external audit processes.
  • Oversee regulatory breach reporting and coordinate with cross-functional teams such as IT and Security to ensure compliance protocols are followed.

Training and Awareness

  • Promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organization.
  • Provide periodic training and awareness sessions to enhance employee understanding of compliance policies and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Law Legal Studies or a related field.
  • 25 years of experience in a financial institution financial regulatory body or audit firm.
  • Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
  • Proactive detail-oriented and demonstrates a strong sense of ownership.
  • Good command of English both written and spoken.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
