Delivery Consultant - Security and Compliance, Professional Services GCR

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant specializing in Security & Compliance to join our team in the Greater China Region (GCR). In this role youll lead the development of planetary-scale security solutions in the cloud helping customers automate security operations to achieve unprecedented capability and agility while driving fast-paced complex projects focused on game-changing business outcomes.

As a member of the AWS Professional Services Security Risk and Compliance Practice youll pioneer technically excellent security solutions supporting customer initiatives that are meaningful to their business. Youll collaborate with AWS service teams on new features innovate with new technologies and explore new challenges while working closely with customers to design implement and manage secure AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements compliance needs and business objectives.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption with particular emphasis on security and compliance requirements in GCR.

Key job responsibilities
As an experienced technology professional you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing complex scalable and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs with a focus on security and compliance requirements
- Providing technical guidance on best practices and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather security requirements and propose effective migration strategies
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring training and creating reusable artifacts

A day in the life
Working with customers to understand their business challenges around security in the cloud and to help design / architect technical solutions to address those business needs.

Support customers across GCR region in ongoing projects as the field security SME to consult with and provide prescriptive guidance on standards of good practice around AWSs well-architected secure and resilient design principles to ensure all customer deliverables and work products are secure by design and in practice.

Lead builders in innovation and build initiatives to deliver innovative solutions to address emerging business needs.

- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years experience in IT security compliance or risk management.
- Familiarity with common attack patterns exploitation and remediation techniques with strong hands-on experience with mainline programming languages such as TypeScript Python or Go
- Result oriented high energy self-motivated with excellent communication work prioritization and analytical skills
- Ability to travel to client locations to deliver professional services as needed

- AWS Professional level certifications preferred (Solutions Architect Professional Machine Learning Engineer Associate)
- Industry-recognized security credentials including CISSP CISA CREST and privacy certifications (CIPP CIPT CIPM)
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in architecting building and deploying enterprise-grade security solutions and infrastructure
- Extensive implementation experience with advanced security technologies including SSO Federation WAF IPS Anti-DDoS and SIEM
- Proven experience implementing security controls to meet industry compliance requirements such as PCI DSS ISO 27001/27701 GDPR and NIST Frameworks
