Horizon Infinity Jobs is hiring a steersman for one of her inland vessels!

As a steersman you will assist the captain in manoeuvring and steering the vessel. You will be responsible for the maintenance and nautical services on board of the vessel. You will be repairing storing and preparing deck equipment. Next to that you will be responsible for handling lines gangways and anchors during docking and departing operations. As a steersman you need to be able to work independent and responsible. You will answer to the captain directly and if required you will be the manager of the sailor.

Avnd funcia de Steuerman/Timonier fluvial l vei ajuta pe cpitan la manevrarea i conducerea navei. Vei fi responsabil cu serviciile de mentenan i navigaie de la bordul navei. Vei repara depozita i pregti echipamentul de pe punte. n plus vei fi responsabil cu manevrarea parmelor pasarelelor i ancorelor n timpul operaiunilor de acostare i de plecare de la cheu. n calitate de timonier fluvial trebuie s putei lucra independent i responsabil. V vei subordona cpitanului i dac este necesar vei fi responsabil de coordonarea activitii marinarului.

Job Requirements

• A valid sailors book with the corresponding function
• Proven experience on inland vessels
• Experience with handling mooring lines
• Proficient to good command of English and/or German language
• Representative and in good health
• Hands on mentality
• Responsible reliable and independent

What we offer you

You will work monthly rotating shifts 1 month on board 1 month home. Earnings related to your experience and the type of vessel. We make sure to have good agreements regarding food or food money. Horizon Infinity Jobs offers you a medical insurance for your contractual period. Next to that you will be insured on your travel routes: home vessel - home.
