You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe City of Seabrook is seeking a detail-oriented customer-service-focused Court Clerk II to join our Municipal Court Services team. This role performs a variety of intermediate-level administrative clerical and technical duties to support daily court operations while ensuring compliance with local state and federal laws.
Provide professional customer service in person by phone email fax and online chat regarding fines payment plans court settings warrants and related inquiries.
Collect reconcile and record fines fees bonds and payments using Incode software.
Process citations bonds pleas and open records requests in compliance with laws and policies.
Assist defendants with payment plans community service deferred dispositions compliance dismissals and driving safety courses.
Prepare and maintain court dockets legal documents and courtroom setups.
Coordinate with judges prosecutors law enforcement attorneys and the public.
Support collection efforts case compliance reviews and dismissal processing.
Serve as backup support to Court Clerk I as needed.
High School Diploma or GED required.
At least two (2) years of experience with court policies and procedures.
Two (2) years of general office clerical or customer service experience.
Valid Texas drivers license with a good driving record.
Texas Municipal Court Clerk Level I Certification required.
Must obtain TLETS certification within 12 months of hire.
Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required Incode software preferred.
Bilingual skills preferred.
Prior cash-handling and reconciliation experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize work prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
Knowledge of court procedures state laws and city ordinances.
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
Work performed in an office or courtroom setting.
Requires frequent standing walking bending and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to meet vision and auditory requirements for effective performance.
Grade: 106 FLSA: Non-Exempt
