At the Faculty of Engineering and Science Department of Materials and Production at Aalborg University Aalborg Campus a part-time external lecture position in Automation and Process Monitoring is available starting September 1st 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Who we are
Department of Materials and Production (MP) is a wide-ranging research and educational environment at Aalborg University. The Departments mission is to meet the futures demands for new materials and production systems by directing the whole value chain from basic material understanding to materials applications in mechanical construction industrial production and management. The department has several strong international and innovative research groups which comprise everything from basic science to strategic and applicable research. The activities encompass research and education within materials mechanics physics production techniques and industrial management and innovation. Benefitting the industry and additional collaborators several innovative and unconventional collaborations have been developed through interdisciplinary cooperation. Thereby as an employee at the Department you will become a part of an international research environment where the focus is on innovation knowledge sharing/building and interdisciplinary collaborations.
About the position
The position is a part-time external lecturer. Teaching will primarily be in Automation and Process Monitoring on the following program Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering). This includes knowledge on e.g. various perspectives and theories that inform automation process control vision and data processing.
The position will be with the research group Robotics and Automation.
Qualification requirements
Appointment as a part-time lecturer requires academic qualifications at masters degree level.
Employment as a part-time lecturer requires either relevant practical experience at a high level which has not been achieved through an academic appointment at a university or employment in an principal academic position at another university. When employed due to relevant practical experience you must have in-depth up-to-date knowledge of the subject/subjects applications that has been gained or will be gained through employment in the profession. Teaching qualifications are included in the assessment of applicants for a part-time lectureship.
