About the Role
Join the company an employee-owned leader in civil and transportation engineering as a Licensed Land Surveyor / Manager. In this senior role you will lead survey operations manage multiple field crews oversee project delivery and drive client development. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise daily operations of multiple survey field crews and office technicians.
  • Ensure QA/QC standards are met across projects while managing budgets schedules and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with VDOT and local municipalities for roadway and utility corridor surveys.
  • Support business growth through proposal development and client relationship building.
  • Mentor and coach staff through one-on-one sessions and performance planning.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or eligibility to sit for the exam within six months of hire (exam fees covered by the company).
  • 12 years of land surveying experience including 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive experience with DOT and municipal projects.
  • Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong knowledge of federal state and local survey regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (bachelors in surveying or civil technology preferred).
