HSE Manager
Contract: Contract to Permanent
Location: Den Haag/Project site
Role Overview:
Leap29 is seeking a Fields Project HSE Manager to oversee and manage HSE operations for projects executed under our clients construction management. This role is embedded within the HSE department comprising both home office and field HSE personnel and contractors.
Reporting directly to the HSE Manager you will lead a multidisciplinary HSE team ensuring that project risks are managed effectively in line with the project HSE plan and company standards.
This position requires regular work on project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the HSE team at project site(s) consisting of employed and contractor HSE professionals.
- Collaborate with the Construction Manager to achieve project HSE objectives within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Support contractors in preparing for safe and low-risk project execution.
- Administer and report on project HSE plans including leading/lagging indicators and event documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A strong commitment to HSE principles emphasizing risk reduction and safety-first alternatives.
- A proactive and pragmatic mindset with the ability to motivate teams toward achieving HSE excellence.
- Exceptional teamwork and communication skills leveraging networks to address risk-related challenges.
- Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently while understanding the broader engineering process.
- Proficient in using computer tools to meet project HSE requirements effectively.
Requirements:
- Education: HVK certification (or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years working with and leading contractors on construction projects.
- Fluency in both Dutch and English languages.
