The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Delivering a quality audit and advice to clients in advance of deadlines and with limited supervision;
Contributing to and assisting in the delivery of Audit department goals including the effective and efficient planning and execution of assignments;
Lead multiple audit assignments concurrently and ensure the most effective and efficient use of time and resources at all times.
Leading supervising and mentoring junior staff members as appropriate to ensure quality thoroughness and completion of assignments within agreed timeframes;
Reporting on audit findings in particular to raise any issues arising during the audit which may impact on risk to the Audit Manager/ Partner;
Dealing with escalated client issues from junior members of the audit team in a timely manner;
Executing client assignments utilizing a range of audit and accounting applications;
Liaising with other departments including taxation company secretarial and consultancy in the delivery of audit and advisory services;
Identifying potential opportunities to provide additional value added services to the client.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and qualifications:
Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant;
Prior practice experience within an Audit team;
Previous financial services audit experience is desirable;
Experience of CaseWare an advantage
Strong technical knowledge;
Experience in supervising junior staff members on audit assignments;
Client focused with strong commercial expertise;
Excellent technical and interpersonal skills;
Team player with strong communication and leadership potential.
