The Role

There will also be further advancement opportunities for the successful candidate to advance in to the management team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Delivering a quality audit and advice to clients in advance of deadlines and with limited supervision;
- Contributing to and assisting in the delivery of Audit department goals including the effective and efficient planning and execution of assignments;
- Lead multiple audit assignments concurrently and ensure the most effective and efficient use of time and resources at all times.
- Leading supervising and mentoring junior staff members as appropriate to ensure quality thoroughness and completion of assignments within agreed timeframes;
- Reporting on audit findings in particular to raise any issues arising during the audit which may impact on risk to the Audit Manager/ Partner;
- Dealing with escalated client issues from junior members of the audit team in a timely manner;
- Executing client assignments utilizing a range of audit and accounting applications;
- Liaising with other departments including taxation company secretarial and consultancy in the delivery of audit and advisory services;
- Identifying potential opportunities to provide additional value added services to the client.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and qualifications:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant;
- Prior practice experience within an Audit team;
- Previous financial services audit experience is desirable;
- Experience of CaseWare an advantage
- Strong technical knowledge;
- Experience in supervising junior staff members on audit assignments;
- Client focused with strong commercial expertise;
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills;
- Team player with strong communication and leadership potential.
