This position will work in Caterpillar China R&D Center Electrification & Energy Solutions China team based in Wuxi or Qingdao electrification is one of Caterpillars strategic technologies and Caterpillar is accelerating electrification solution development in construction machinery mining equipment and energy & transportation business. The electrification team in Caterpillar R&D center is part of Caterpillar global electrification team and responsible for e-powertrain system architecture development system integration battery design motor and power electronics components design and charging solution development.

Responsibility:
The job will be related with following but not limited to
E-powertrain requirements development based on machine performance requirements

E-powertrain system architecture concept design and evaluation

Collaborate with battery motor power electronics team to define components requirements

Collaborate with machine team for components on machine integration and installation design

Develop e-powertrain system level lab and on machine validation plan

Support machine test bed and pilot build

NPI issue resolution

Job Requirements:
2026 Master or Bachelor graduate majoring in Electrical / Mechatronics/Electronics Engineering
2026
Familiar with electric powertrain systems motor design or power electronics solution design

Good at Pro/E ANSYS and related tools for motor design
Pro/E ANSYS
Good English skills and team player Interested in new technology and self-motivated

Experience in electric drive systems or related component design are preferred

Ability to effectively communicate in English in work environment CET-6 preferred
CET-6
Good communication and project management skills

Strong initiative communication interpersonal teamworklearning skills

This position will work on battery pack motor and power electronics components design and development used on Caterpillar electrification solutions.

Work with system engineer and machine technical lead to define system and component requirements

Specification development concept design and concept selection

Complete mechanical and electrical system or components detail design and prototype part build

Develop lab testing and on machine validation plan

Technical documentation development drawing release

NPI issue resolutions

Job Requirements:
2026 Master or Bachelor graduate majoring in Power Electronics/Electrical /Control/Mechatronics engineering or other equivalent ones

Familiar with Lithium Battery Electric Motor or Power Electronics products design have project experience in relative product mechanical or electrical system design

Skilled at using test equipment strong technical issue fix capability

Ability to effectively communicate in English in work environment CET-6 preferred
CET-6
Good communication and project management skills

Strong initiative communication interpersonal teamworklearning skills
