Full-time Senior Vet Nurse
Veterinary Care Balmoral
Join our lovely group of Vet Nurses Vets and dedicated Receptionists who will support you in your journey and help you grow. We are a team friendly fun loving and very supportive of one another. We love to get to know our patients and their owners and our team will always go the extra mile to provide excellent customer service and the highest standard of patient care.
This role will be around 38 hours per week although this is negotiable if something suits you better.
DO YOU:
  • Breeze through a pug nail clip temperamental occluded drip pump and surprise in your scrub pocket
  • Appreciate a thick juicy cat abscess the satisfaction of a Labrador lipoma and successful retrieval of insert embarrassing household item here via emesis
  • Recognise a hyperthyroid cat from a mile away smell ketosis and know a yeasty snowman when you see it
  • Provide first class client education even if their pet will be kept quiet and wont lick the stitches
  • Manage a perfect threading of your dehydrated cats IV catheter FIRST TRY take bloods blindfolded and manage a doppler like a master
Then not only do we want you but we need you!
This position would suit someone who thrives in a busy and progressive Veterinary Clinic.
Our clinics are all equipped with in house bio-chemistry blood analysers digital radiography dental radiography and separate nurse consultation rooms. Nurses are encouraged to use all aspects of their nursing knowledge including placing of IV catheters blood and urine sampling monitoring of anaesthesia hospital monitoring and treatment as well as triaging consultations and providing routine nursing consults.
We have a great network of resources shared across our clinics which gives us access to the likes of ultrasound advanced dentistry in-house blood analysers and digital radiography. All staff have the same common goal of providing gold-standard care to our patients and clients.
