Job Description

POSITION: Business Analyst (Collateral Analyst)

FULLTIME/PARTTIME: Full Time

LOCATION: Chicago IL

SCHEDULE: Mon- Fri 8am- 5pm (onsite training and will change to Hybrid after training finished)

ASSIGNMENT: 09/12/2025 to 12/31/2025 (temp to hire)

PAY RANGE: $40.36 hourly paid weekly.

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Collateral Operations Analyst to join our Global F&O & OTC Funding & Optimization team. This team plays a critical role in collateralizing the firms liabilities efficiently while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for supporting day-to-day funding processes optimizing collateral usage and partnering with trading treasury and settlement teams across global regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily collateral optimization ensuring both pre- and post-margin call assets are efficiently utilized.

  • Support rehypothecation of assets to maximize collateral efficiency and reduce unused assets.

  • Collaborate with internal trading desks treasury and settlement teams to source collateral and ensure timely settlement.

  • Monitor and ensure all client margin calls are appropriately covered daily.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in margin calls escalating issues to Credit/Risk Management as needed.

  • Book and request FX transactions for clients and manage collateral bookings and releases.

  • Respond to client inquiries and coordinate with front/middle office teams to facilitate resolution.

  • Partner with global peers to maintain consistent operational processes and controls.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in financial markets with strong understanding of collateral operations.

  • Previous experience in cleared collateral security operations or middle office operations is highly beneficial.

  • Strong controls background with experience implementing and maintaining key business controls.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident interacting with senior stakeholders (Sales Trading Product Control Credit Legal).

  • Analytical and strong problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities meet deadlines and deliver high-quality output.

  • Collaborative adaptable and client-focused with excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with trade lifecycle management for F&O and OTC derivatives.

  • Experience using Excel (advanced) SWIFT Murex Calypso or other treasury/operations platforms.

  • Knowledge of risk mitigation strategies and operational best practices in financial services.

Education Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance Business Economics or related field or equivalent professional experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels such as from office equipment.
  • The ability to lift up to 30lbs
  • Use of computers and technology
