Faculty Employment Opportunity

POSITION:

Womens Tennis Assistant Coach: The Department of Athletics invites applications for a part-time non-tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Coach within Collective Bargaining Unit 3. The assistant womens tennis coach will assist in the everyday operations of the program which may include: assisting with practices games film breakdown scouting recruiting academic progress and other duties assigned by the head coach.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelors degree required is required. Other minimum qualifications include: Experience at the four-year level of coaching or playing tennis excellent oral and written communication skills are required and a valid drivers license is required for travel must pass defensive driving and DMV check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A potential candidates consideration will be enhanced by providing evidence of: Playing experience preferably at the four-year level Ability to organize and administer practice sessions ability to navigate social media multi media and go pro demonstrated ability to provide competent support in the administrative requirements of a tennis program (travel coordination reconciliation of documents scheduling and recruiting) First Aid and CPR certified.

The university requires a criminal and/or child abuse background check to be completed for many of its new employees current employees seeking promotional or transfer opportunities and current employees assigned new duties. Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.
