Job Description

Firm Risk Management

Firm Risk Management (FRM) enables Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit market liquidity operational model and other risks. You will collaborate with colleagues across FRM and the Firm to protect the Firms capital base and franchise advise on risk mitigating strategies develop tools and methodologies to analyze and monitor risk contribute to key regulatory initiatives and report on risk exposures and metrics to enable informed and strategic decision-making.

Background on the Position

Morgan Stanley seeks an Analyst to join the Chief Operating Office Team within the Stress Testing Risk Capital Risk Data IM Risk organization. The successful candidate will partner with the COO Team to deliver high quality analysis reporting oversight of resources and budget as well as process improvement and strategic initiatives driven both centrally and inter-organization. This role requires strong analytical skills organization attention to details and global collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ability to develop an understanding of key Finance and HR systems that support business management activities and ensure timely entry and accuracy of data used to support budgeting and recruiting activities
  • Facilitate and support data collection and analysis for budgeting resource planning activities and other strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate directly with CAO and take directions to support execution of risk management processes (i.e. risks and controls inventory continuity plans compliance with regulatory standards)
  • Assist with preparing executive-level presentations
  • Assist the CAO with logistics for organizing department-wide town halls offsites and roll out of training programs

Experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communicator
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Effective multi-tasker who can deliver under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Inquisitive with a focus on information sharing
  • Strong relationship builder
