What Youll Do
- Create and maintain purchase orders and supplier master data in Xero (ERP).
- Verify and accurately code supplier invoices to accounts cost centres and tax components (US tax exposure viewed favourably).
- Prepare and run accounts payable payment batches in accordance with schedule and on ad hoc basis as necessary.
- Maintain the fixed asset register run depreciation and complete monthly reconciliations.
- Reconcile corporate debit cards with compliant tax invoices on file.
- Administer vendor payments process and staff expense reimbursements.
- Liaise with vendors on payment queries and build strong supplier relationships.
- Ownership of relevant accounts payable and fixed assets tasks for monthend close; along with bank reconciliations and other tasks as requested.
- Assist with external auditors queries for accounts payable debit card and fixed asset requests at yearend as directed.
What Were Looking For
- 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable / Assistant Accountant role.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting (Bachelors degree viewed favourably).
- Strong attention to detail; with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of GST (Australia); exposure to US taxes is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word); ERP experiences (Xero or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; confident liaising with suppliers and colleagues at all levels.
- Organised proactive and customerfocused with good problemsolving skills.
