Job Description

Base Salary: From $145745 plus 17% superannuation

Position: Full Time 3 year fixed term

Location: Central Coast Clinical School Gosford NSW

About the Role

As Director of the CCRI Centre you will lead strategic and operational activities to achieve the Centres goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading CCRI Centre operations partnerships and sustainability.
  • Developing collaborative research programs in priority areas.
  • Facilitating academic clinical and industry partnerships across disciplines.
  • Working closely with University and CCLHD research teams.
  • Driving translational research with measurable community impact.
  • Promoting innovation through industry engagement and commercialisation.

You will navigate a complex stakeholder environment and engage with partners such as HMRI NSW Regional Health Partners Primary Health Network Central Coast Local Health District other Local Health Districts and internal University units.

This full-time three-year fixed-term role is based at the Central Coast Clinical School (Darkinjung land).

About the Centre

The College of Health Medicine and Wellbeing prepares career-ready healthcare professionals and conducts world-class research to improve healthcare outcomes. The Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) delivers high-quality patient-centred care through a network of hospitals and community services.

The Central Coast Research and Innovation Centre (CCRI) is a joint initiative between the University and CCLHD focused on collaborative research that enhances the health and wellbeing of the Central Coast community.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant health discipline and/or demonstrable experience working as a senior clinician policy maker or manager in health policy practice or research environment.
  • Proven professional leadership qualities with demonstrable success in relationship management research innovation and translational research attracting research funding in a health-related environment.
  • Experience with transdisciplinary research qualitative and quantitative research and living lab methods including collaborative design-led consumer research and human-technology interaction.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of the health and medical research environment in NSW and Australia with expertise and experience in translating research evidence into policy and practice in health settings including the development of multi-disciplinary teams and networks.
  • Proven track record of taking research projects from conceptual design through to completion including translation into policy and practice that bring positive impacts on the health and wellbeing of people and communities.
  • Experience of driving innovation in health and care settings through industry and community engagement and partnership with demonstrated end-to-end project management skills with a track record of successfully establishing priorities and managing all tasks through to timely completion with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
