Job Description

Space Systems Integration (SSI) is a fast-growing engineering company that provides aerospace solutions to a variety of government and commercial customers. Our employees are forward-thinking self-directed individuals who are committed to solving our customers technical challenges.

SSI is seeking a Space Systems Engineer for a position in Chantilly VA to support SDAs mission.

Responsibilities include:

Provides technical oversight and leadership fordevelopment testing integration and operations efforts associated with the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture.

Assists with the design verification and works with the vendor team to implement solutions to support the SDAs mission.

Overseesthe grounds technical baseline identifying key architecture and system-level trades developing Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for new capabilities and coordinating them across the affected organizations.

Resolves highly complex and multi-dimensional problems requiring consideration of variables that impact multiple aspects of the project/program.

Develops enterprise system functional performance and interface requirements.

Coordinates with cross-functional teams (i.e. Government Military SETA FFRDC UARC & Industry) and external stakeholders

Prepares briefings for senior decision makers.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in science technology engineering or math (STEM)
Minimum of 10 years experience with satellite and ground systems
Technical and analytic understanding of satellite and ground system interaction
Strong experience in requirements development and tracking
Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
TS Clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in STEM or related discipline
