Job Description
JOB TITLE: RS Senior Upholstery Technician
LOCATION: Brunswick GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
-
Fabricate and install seat covers curtains and interior assemblies.
-
Interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with design standards.
-
Sew and install panel covers while meeting safety quality and productivity goals.
-
Cut and install advanced custom carpets using unique patterns and layouts.
-
Use the Corridor system to manage parts demand track issues and sign off completed work.
-
Step into Lead role when needed; delegate and oversee tasks.

Conduct or support team safety audits.
-
Maintain shop equipment and associated JSAs.
-
Promote and follow safety procedures 5S and aircraft protection standards (PTP).

Mentor and train junior technicians ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Collaborate with Leads and senior staff on process improvements using Lean Six Sigma methods.
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
4 years of upholstery experience including at least 2 years in aircraft upholstery or
-
6 years of commercial upholstery experience
-
Advanced knowledge of upholstery and sewing processes and/or advanced carpet installation including custom designs
-
Working knowledge of inspection procedures specs and terminology
-
Proficient in reading blueprints and engineering documentation

Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)

Computer literate
-
Able to climb ladders/stairs work in confined spaces lift up to 40 lbs and work any shift

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
