Job Description
Position Summary:
Were looking for a detail-oriented Tool Maker to support our cold heading production. This role is hands-on and critical to keeping our machines running with precision. Youll operate Hardinge lathes EDM and surface grinders to manufacture modify and maintain cold heading tooling.
What Youll Do:
- Inspect repair and replace worn or broken tooling to keep production lines operating smoothly.
- Build and assemble setup kits for new production jobs.
- Work closely with machine operators engineers and maintenance teams to resolve tooling issues quickly and accurately.
- Perform OD and ID work with tight tolerances (down to the thousandths).
- Read and interpret blueprints micrometers calipers indicators and comparators.
What Youll Need:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of toolmaking experience in cold heading or related manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and blueprint reading.
- Comfortable using measurement tools and working to tight tolerances.
- Basic computer skills to log and track tooling data.
