Job Summary:
This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care in a long-term care/transitional care facility. The LPN will work 8-hour night shifts with responsibilities including medication administration wound care and other skilled nursing procedures. Experience in long-term care and specific procedures (central line care IVs) is required. The position involves floating to different units within the facility.

Responsibilities:
- Providing direct patient care including medication administration and wound care.
- Performing skilled nursing procedures such as central line blood draws central line dressing changes IV pump management and starting IVs.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and documenting observations.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Floating to different units within the facility as needed.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (Net Solutions).
- Adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current LPN license in the state of Washington.
- Minimum of two years of experience in skilled long-term care or transitional care.
- Proficiency in central line blood draws central line dressing changes IV pump management and starting IVs.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior travel nursing experience.
Special Considerations:
- Every other weekend work is required.
- Floating between units is expected. Approximately 3 shifts per 24-hour period will be spent in the Transitional Care Unit (TCU) with the remaining time spent in other areas.
- Facility may call off the traveler for up to one shift per pay period.
- Locals within a 50-mile radius will be considered at the travel rate.
- Pending licenses are accepted.
- RTO restrictions should be confirmed with the hiring manager.
- Comfortable/casual attire.
Scheduling:
- 8-hour night shifts.
- Every other weekend required.
- Block scheduling may be accommodated.
- Shift assignments may involve floating between units.
