Job Description
Job Title: SQL & Python Developer
Location: Dallas TX (Hybrid)
Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled SQL & Python Developer including hands-on expertise with the DBT (Data Build Tool) framework in Python.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines transforming data using DBT and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust SQL queries and Python scripts for data extraction transformation and loading (ETL).
- Build and manage data models using the DBT framework in Python.
- Collaborate with data engineers analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability.
- Ensure data quality consistency and integrity across systems.
- Document processes and maintain version control using Git.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in data engineering.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in SQL and Python development.
- Strong hands-on experience with the DBT framework.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and working with relational databases.
- Experience with data modeling and ETL pipeline development.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g. Big Query).
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices in data engineering.
- Familiarity with Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
